Inclusive AI Training
Foundational & Advanced AI Skills Training for Everyone
A Nexellence curriculum developed in collaboration with the Inclusive AI Institute
About This Program
As part of the Nexellence Institute curriculum, our Inclusive AI Training program bridges the AI skills gap by making artificial intelligence education accessible, practical, and inclusive. The content is designed by the Inclusive AI Institute, and Nexellence supports the delivery and training.
We believe AI literacy is a fundamental skill for the 21st century -- not just for technologists, but for students, educators, administrators, policymakers, and workforce professionals. Our curriculum is grounded in universal design principles, ensuring that learners of all backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels can develop meaningful AI competencies.
AI Training in Action
Watch our AI training program in action. This session demonstrates how AI tools can be integrated into professional practice to improve service delivery and outcomes. Our training is developed in collaboration with the Inclusive AI Institute.
Virginia DARS AI Training

AI Foundations for Students & Youth
Middle school, high school, and undergraduate learners
Our Philosophy: Growth-Aligned AI
We believe AI education should adapt to how students learn at different stages of life. Our approach combines movement, creativity, collaboration, and inquiry with AI tools, creating experiences that are:
- Developmentally appropriate
- Social and interactive
- Grounded in real-world thinking
AI supports growth when students learn to question, shape, and use with purpose. For middle schoolers, it is Exploration & Play; for high schoolers, it is Simulations & Applications; for undergraduates, it is Inquiry & Research.
What is AI? From Curiosity to Understanding
Explore how AI, machine learning, and NLP work through everyday examples, hands-on activities, and interactive challenges.
Talking to AI: Prompting, Context & Strategy
Learn how to communicate effectively with AI by shaping prompts, defining context, and refining ideas.
AI in the Real World: Good, Bad & Responsible Use
Explore how AI can succeed and fail in real-world situations. Through examples, case studies, and interactive discussions, students examine bias, fairness, and build practical judgment for responsible AI use.

AI for Educators & Administrators
K-12 teachers, school leaders, higher ed faculty, and institutional administrators
Our Philosophy: Context-Aware AI for Adult Learning
We believe AI training for educators should reflect how adults learn and how schools actually work. Our approach is grounded in:
- Adult learning principles — relevance, autonomy, experience-driven learning
- Context-aware AI use — aligned to classroom, institutional, and policy settings
- Responsible integration — balancing innovation with ethics, transparency, and trust
Educators don't just learn new tools — they learn to:
- Evaluate when AI is useful and when it is not
- Adapt AI to their specific classroom or institutional context
- Make informed, responsible decisions in real-world scenarios

Our Philosophy: Rigorous, Practice-Oriented AI
Advanced, practice-oriented training to integrate AI into research and analysis responsibly and effectively. Our approach is grounded in:
- Methodology-first thinking — strong questions and hypotheses before tools
- Critical evaluation — interpreting, validating, and questioning AI outputs
- Context-aware use — aligning AI with real-world data, policy, and constraints
AI for Research Design & Methodology
Integrating AI into research design — from framing questions and selecting methods to designing data collection and analysis strategies. Understanding where AI adds value and where it introduces risk.
